So what kind of question is that?
The more I learn about the technicalities of performing music, the more I come to realize the arbitrariness of the pleasure experienced from listening to music. I’ve got to be honest. I’ve been playing a long time but I have been listening longer.
The fact of the matter is, as a player we strive to learn about the complexity of notes, chords, scales and such but as a listener, we look for the familiarity and how it pares with the anticipation of what we have heard and are hearing.
